Vēl divas nedēļas golferi var ļauties pārdomām, taču visām iesaistītajām pusēm būs noderīgāk, ja dalībnieki laicīgi pieteiksies "Volvo Latvian Open", kas "Ozo Golf Club" laukumā risināsies no 9. līdz 11.augustam. Sagaidāms, ka ieradīsies arī viesi no tuvākām un tālākām valstīm, taču bez pienācīgas pašmāju spēlētāju pārstāvības turnīram pietrūktu īsta rakstura.
Pieteikumus organizatoriem jāiesniedz līdz 5.augusta pēcpusdienai, elektroniski vai personiski nogādājot "Ozo" recepcijā aizpildītu anketu.
Maksimālais dalības handikaps ir HCP 15 kungiem un HCP 20 dāmām. Dalības maksa ir 75 lati, bet junioriem, kam 1.janvārī vēl nebija 18 gadu, maksa pazemināta līdz 50 latiem.
Radikālu jaunumu sezonas prestižākā amatieru turnīra reglamentā nav. Kats pēc otrās dienas paredzēts 60 kungiem un 18 dāmām, plus dalīto vietu ieguvējiem. Spēlējamajām bumbiņām un draiveru galvām jābūt iekļautām R&A attiecīgajos sarakstos.

Conditions of Competition
1. General.
1.1. The competition will take place at Ozo Golf Club (Milgravja iela 16, Riga, Latvia, LV 1034) from Friday, August 9, 2013 to Sunday, August 11, 2013. Official practice days areWednesday, August 7 and Thursday, August 8, 2013.
1.2. Competition organizer is the Latvian Golf Federation.

2. Eligibility.
2.1. The competition is open to all amateur golfers.
2.2. Participants must be listed in LGF’s handicap register or show proof of handicap from their home club/country.
2.3. Maximum number of participants: Men: 120, Women: 36
2.4. Maximum handicap limit: Men 15.0, Women: 20.0. (On the day of entry).
3. Entry/Application.
3.1. Participants are required to complete the registration form (available on www.golfs.lv) and submit to Ozo Golf Club reception (fax: +371 6739-4034) or by email: ozogolf@apollo.lv no later than Monday, August 5, 2013 (at 5 p.m. local time).
3.2. Entry fee (includes green fee on competition days, light lunch, souvenirs)

4. Competition Format.
4.1. The competition will be played according to the Rules of Golf issued by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews and Ozo Golf Clubs local rules as issued on any day of the completion (note: local rules on the Ozo Golf Club’s score card is not in effect).
4.2. Competition format: Stroke Play 54 holes, 18 holes played on each of the competition days.
Qualification for the 3rd day: Men, top 60 players and ties. Women, top 18 players and ties.
4.3. Decisions of Ties (rule 33-6).
Ties for 1st place will be decided by sudden-death stroke-play play-off, played repeatedly on 17th and 18th holes until a winner is determined.Ties for 3 to 6 place will be determined by score-card count-back of the last 36, 18, 9, 6, 3 or last hole.4.4. Tee locations: Men, white tees. Women, blue tees.
5. Order of Play and Timing.
5.1. Order of play (rule 33-3).
Order of play for day 1 and 2 will be decided by draw on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 @ 17:00 local time.
Order of play for day 3 will be determined by the players score in descending order.
5.2. Starting times (note to rule 6-3).
Starting times will be published in the clubhouse reception area and online on www.ozogolf.lv and www.golfs.lv

Players are responsible for being ready to play at the time of starting.
Penalty for late start: Within 5 minutes late, 2 shots. More than 5 minutes, disqualification.
5.3. Slow play (note to rule 6-7).
Players shall follow the pace of play time-schedule and guidelines issued together with the local rules on each day of the competition.
6. Specification of the ball (rule 33-1).
The ball the player plays must be named on the current list of conforming golf balls issued by the R&A.
7. Specification of driving clubs (rule 33-1).
Any driving clubs the player carries must conform to the current list of conforming driving clubs issued by the R&A.
7.1. Distance Measuring Devices (note to rule 14-3).
All DME’s are allowed provided they are designed to only measure distance.
In this competition, a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only (see local rules for details).
7.2. Use of mobile phones for communication or internet browsing is prohibited except to contact a referee.
8. Suspension of play (note to rule 6-8b).
1 (one) long siren – immediately discontinue of play.
3 (three) consecutive notes of siren – discontinue play.
2 (two) short notes of siren – continue play.
9. Caddies (note to rule 6-4).
The use of caddies is allowed except a player cannot have a professional golf player as a caddie.
The use of electric golf trollies are allowed provided it does not assist the player in walking.
The use of golf carts (buggies) is not permitted.
10. Practice / advice (note to rule 7 / 8).
Practice on the competition course between rounds during the competition is not permitted.
Advice by a team leader or captain is not permitted.
11. Prices.
The winner’s names are engraved on the Latvian Amateur Open Championships Cup.
Places 1 – 6 are rewarded at the closing awards ceremony.
12. Competition closure.
The competition is closed when the price ceremony has begun.
